Mental Health Awareness

May 30, 2022 | News

9th – 15th May was Mental Health Awareness Week.

The Mental Health Foundation announced loneliness as a theme.

What does wellbeing and mental health mean to employers? Is it about recruitment, retention, improved outcomes and performance? Or is it more about great mental health, personal productivity, positive attitudes and emotional resilience? Mental health and wellbeing are now being put at the forefront of leading schools and businesses.

The most common reasons for sickness absence are depression, anxiety and stress. Presenteeism is another issue facing employers and schools, which is difficult to cost or quantify.
